Random Acts of Mobility

It is a common scenario for many organisations: business unit managers are going off on their own, procuring mobile solutions as their IT departments are struggling to support the fast-growing demand for mobility. This was also the case for our client, a large New Zealand city council, who quickly recognised the need for a strategic approach to mobility to avoid duplication of processes, systems and apps.

Policy, Architecture, Security and Use-Cases

Mobile Mentor has developed a strong track-record in mobile strategy consulting and was asked to provide input around an enterprise mobility strategy for the council. Mobile Mentor’s team of consultants completed an analysis of the council’s current state of mobility, worked with the client to develop a vision for the future and provided a clear roadmap for the client to achieve their goals.

Mobility Strategy with Actionable Roadmap and Budget

The team guided the client in key segments such as mobile architecture, mobile policy and enterprise mobility management (EMM) and made suggestions for complete mobility solutions around their highest value use cases for mobility within the organisation.

The client was very happy with the outcomes of this engagement and are currently using the recommendations as a basis for a number of strategic RFP’s with a view to focus specifically on enterprise mobility initiatives early 2015.
