SECURITY FOR 20,000 DEVICES
With the rapid growth in mobile devices by clinicians, HealthAlliance needed to secure devices for approx 20,000 doctors and nurses across the region and issued a public tender for an enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform.
DEPLOYING CITRIX XENMOBILE
HealthAlliance selected Mobile Mentor in 2015 through the tender process to deploy the Citrix XenMobile platform. Mobile Mentor, together with Citrix Consulting Services and Sharp Elephant, performed the technical design, platform implementation, integration with network infrastructure, testing, troubleshooting and assisted with the enrollment of the first 1,000 clinical users.
SUCCESSFUL ROLLOUT
Several thousand clinical users have enrolled their devices in hospitals and clinics across the Auckland region. Mobile apps and productivity services are now being deployed securely to devices to improve clinical workflow. One of the first apps (My Patient List) was developed by Waitemata District Health Boards and deployed using the XenMobile platform as an evergreen app that automatically updates each time a user opens the app.
