PROTECTING AN ENTERPRISE APP ON PERSONA DEVICES (BYOD)
Neami National went live with a new client management solution and wanted to ensure that this solution was accessible from outside Neami network on devices that were known and managed. This would allow Neami National to be sure that only compliant devices that are under Neami control could access client data and that non-compliant and unknown could not access Neami National’s new solution.
Additionally, Neami National wanted to ensure that access to the new solution was streamlined and that they could leverage Single Sign On (SSO) and Modern Authentication to provide a great user experience.
NEW POSSIBILITIES WITH DEVICE COMPLIANCE PARTNER IN INTUNE
Mobile Mentor recommended Neami leverage the new compliance solution between VMware Workspace ONE UEM and Microsoft Intune. Through this integration, VMware Workspace ONE UEM’s managed device compliance status would be visible to Microsoft Intune and could be leveraged by Azure Conditional Access. This would allow for additional compliance measures but would be invisible to employees.
An Azure Activey Directory (Azure AD) AppProxy was put in front of the new client management solution, which allowed Neami National users to access the system using their Azure AD credentials and authenticate using Modern Authentication.
The Microsoft Edge browser app was deployed to devices to enable seamless SSO through the AppProxy.
SECURE FOR THE FUTURE
Neami National can now deploy their new Client Management solution to both company and BYOD devices knowing that only compliant, managed, and patched devices are able to access client data.
This means their team can work from any location and access the data they need securely. Neami knows its customers’ data are protected and Neami employees love the freedom to work from anywhere.
