Transforming the Inspection Process with Mobility
Airport Equipment designs, builds and maintains airline bridges in all the major airports in New Zealand and Australia. These bridges form a critical component of the infrastructure in an airport and routine inspections need to be performed to monitor their condition, address maintenance issues and report to airport management.
Airport Equipment selected Mobile Mentor in 2014 to design, develop and deploy a mobile solution that simplifies the inspection and reporting process. Mobile Mentor used the BlinkMobile platform to build 3 separate apps, all hosted by Amazon Web Services. The apps were deployed using AirWatch and supported by the team at Mobile Mentor.
All employees and contractors are using the 3 apps for inspections, maintenance and reporting to the airports. Inspections are performed daily, weekly and quarterly depending on the type of air bridge and the safety requirements of each airport. Airport Equipment continues to attract new clients and grow its reputation as an innovator.
